The Following information includes important contractual terms and conditions, which apply to bookings you make with Playaway Weekends Ltd. These conditions include some exclusions and limitations of liability. You should therefore read them carefully. We reserve the right before a booking is accepted, to withdraw or alter these conditions. All bookings are subject to Playaway Weekends Ltd Terms and Conditions.
We require only the full weekend price for 1 person payable by card over the phone or by cheque to confirm your booking. Payments can be made by cheque to Playaway Weekends Ltd, or by debit / credit card. Please do not send cash through the post. Final payment should be made no later than 28 days before departure, 6weeks for european destinations. If full payment is not received at this time, our cancellation policy applies. We reserve the right to vary prices without notice, however the price will not be changed less than 28 days before the event. All prices include VAT @ 17.5%.
The person who makes the booking is responsible for full payment of the holiday, including insurance premiums and cancellation charges. Booking confirmation shall be sent on receipt of the deposit, this will show the balance due. Once full payment is received, your itinerary details will be forwarded to you. The itinerary must be carefully checked, as although we try to facilitate changes, this itinerary will be deemed as confirmation and acceptance of final numbers. Any subsequent changes may incur an administration fee. We are unable to accept any changes less than 10 days before the departure date. Any special requirements must be communicated at the time of booking and are only deemed to have been agreed by the company if confirmed in the booking confirmation.
Cancellation must be forwarded in writing to Playaway Weekends Ltd and is effective from the date of receipt. The following cancellation fees will apply: No of days before departure : Cancellation more than 28 days : no penalty,(There is no penalty for number changes prior to the stated final payment date except for cancellation in full of a booking or a reduction in numbers to fewer than 8. In such cases the deposit only will be forfeit.)
28 - 21 days : loss of deposit, 20 - 15 days : 50% of the total booking value, Less than 15 days : 100% of the total booking value. For Overseas bookings the cancellation the following applies: More than 42 days (6 weeks) before no penalty. 42 - 36 days - loss of deposit only. 35 - 29 days 50% of the total booking value. Less than 28 days 100% of the booking value will be forfeited. For any cancellation made by Playaway Weekends Ltd an alternative activity may be arranged. If this is not suitable, the cost of the activity will be refunded. With regard to hotel accommodation, should Playaway Weekends Ltd cancel, alternative upgrades shall be offered at no extra cost to the customer. If this is not suitable, the cost of the accommodation shall be refunded.
Please inform Playaway Weekends at the time of booking of any dietary requirements or medical conditions, which will then be passed onto the accommodation or activity provider in order that everyone's requirements are met.
Any problems should be brought to the attention of the relevant hotel manager or activity provider at the time. Any complaints raised by the customer are to be notified in writing immediately to; Customer Services, Playaway Weekends Ltd, 8 Cleveland Place East, Bath, BA1 5DJ. Any complaints received more than 14 days after the event shall be rejected. It is up to the customer to ensure he/she does everything to ensure the complaint is forwarded to the company within this period. Regrettably Playaway Weekends Ltd cannot accept liability if you fail to notify the company of the complaint or claims in accordance with Playaway Weekends Ltd Terms and Conditions. If compensation is appropriate in respect of a problem with your holiday arrangements, this will not exceed the total cost of the package to the individual.
We reserve the right to terminate a holiday in the event of unreasonable conduct, which is likely to cause distress, damage or danger to other guests, clients, employees or any third party. This includes lack of disclosure of any serious medical condition or disability. Should any of the above occur, our cancellation policy applies. By accepting our terms and conditions you agree to accept the authority and decisions of your activity supplier and accommodation management.
Playaway Weekends Ltd will not be liable to compensate you for any damage or loss of enjoyment in respect of your holiday if failure of enjoyment was your fault or could not have been foreseen or the result of someone unconnected with your event. Playaway Weekends Ltd cannot accept liability for any change, loss or expense which:
i) Results from information not given prior to confirmation of the booking.
OR
ii) Did not result from any breach of contract or other fault by Playaway Weekends Ltd or their employees or suppliers. Additionally Playaway Weekends cannot accept liability for any business losses. Cars are left at owner's risk. Playaway Weekends accept no liability for either theft or damage to vehicles parked in hotels or off site car parks. Customers need to take all reasonable care to protect themselves and their property, i.e. do not leave items unattended in public areas.
or
iii) results from changes by activity providers to the running of the activity for operational reasons or inclusions in the activity that do not materially alter the activity itself.
