Lots of people have already been..but only because it's so good! So worth considering a second look!
The advantages are numerous...city centre beer prices are still as cheap as anywhere in Europe and the costs of getting there are very competitive due to large numbers of daily flights from the UK courtesy of several low cost airlines.
In addition, hotels on the edge of the city centre are good quality and good value. Taxis and the metro are cheap and so rather than pay over the odds to be near the Germans in the somewhat down market Wenceslas Square, why not share a £4 taxi and save £50 for better accommodation half a mile away. (The figures here are not exact but the principle is sound.) You will also benefit from finding hidden local bars that will astonish you for value.
The city is still breathtaking as an architectural gem. This may or may not be the object of your visit but the medievel city scape is undeniably stunning. If you have the time or the energy during the weekend escape to the country for some White Water Rafting or staying in the city, the Shooting Range is easy to get to and provides an opportunity to experience shooting not available in the UK.
