The Geordie warm welcome is legendary, if you can still find a Geordie in town at the weekends before being pushed aside by visiting shopoholics on the lookout for Harvey Nichols rumoured to be coming soon. Lots of visitors has put pressure on hotel accommodation which has lead to price rises in high season, so be sure to book early for the best options. Hotel's in the Jesmond area on the edge of the city centre are better value and we have good reports of great nights to be had in this part of the city on a Friday night before reaching the Quayside on Saturday.
For a quick and easy activity option, Karting in Newcastle is available near the city centre if you can't find the energy to go further afield during the day.
