Your best mate is getting married and he has asked you the most honourable question of them all: ‘Will you be my best man?’
‘Hell yeah!’ you think and start wildly planning the stag do in your head. Then it hits you. You are going to have to organise this epic night (or weekend!); where do you start?!
Well luckily for you we have been organising stag dos for over ten years now and know a few things about what you need to remember.
So, grab a beer and take a look at our handy stag do check list!
Before the stag do...
Work out who to invite
Work out what you are going to do and where you are going to do it (make sure passports are up to date if you are going abroad!)
Create an itinerary and make inquiries and provisional bookings for activities
Work out costs per person; make sure you include the Groom’s costs to be divided between all the other blokes
Find a date that first fits the Groom and then fits most of the guest list
Send invitations / Facebook messages / texts to everyone telling them the plans
Give your mobile number / email address to everyone
Let everyone know if they need to buy fancy dress outfits or props for the stag do
Collect any deposits from all the attendees long before the stag do
Collect the outstanding money from all attending
Make sure everyone knows exactly what is happening like where you are meeting, times, accommodation details
Remind everyone a week prior to the stag do and the day before – just in case they forget!
Confirm details in writing or by email with all venues / activity organisers
Plan some embarrassing moments for the Groom – but nothing that will cause issues for him after the stag do!
During the stag do...
Make sure that the Groom paces himself – no –one wants to head home early because the Groom has passed out on the floor!
Capture the moment on camera
Make sure younger members of the stag do are looked out for
Keep the momentum going and keep everyone entertained
After the stag do...
Do you have the Groom?! (you would be surprised!)
Think about how you are getting home. Will you need to arrange group transport or can everyone grab a taxi?
If you are planning on going abroad then remember to double check all personal items are accounted for before leaving for the airport
You can see what we offer online. But if you want to see it in print, request a brochure. Alternatively speak to one of our top organisers on 08454 755 007 for straightforward, friendly advice about your stag or hen weekend.
