Payment

1. How much deposit do I need to pay to secure my booking?

For online payment the deposit is the value of the full weekend price for 1 person. Click here for more details of online payment system.

For offline payment the deposit is £10pp

Deposit can be paid by card over the phone or by cheque.

Remember!...final group numbers do not have to be confirmed until full payment is due.(This is 4 weeks before you go for UK destinations)

You will not lose deposits if numbers change prior to this. We hope this will help you to book early for the best chance of ensuring your choices are available.

Once a deposit has been received you will receive a written confirmation of the booking and a password to access your group online payment pages.

2. When is the final payment due?

For UK destinations final payment is due 1 month before departure or 6 weeks before departure for overseas destinations. This date will be detailed on the written confirmation of booking and reminder emails will be sent automatically to all group members paying online the week before final payment is due.

3a. How do I pay the balance for my booking?

For groups paying online, each individual group member uses the group password to access the online payment pages and follow the simple payment instructions to pay his/her share of the overall cost. For off line payments please call and pay by card over the phone or send a cheque.

3b. Is my money safe?

Playaway has operated since 2001, during which time has provided trouble free weekends for tens of thousands of decerning clients.  Playaway complies with 1992 Tour Operator Act by operating a trust account system, which means your money is safe in the unlikely event of financial failure.

Group Size / Numbers

4.  What is the minimum / maximum group size?

The minimum group size is 10 although we appreciate that on occasion groups of this size may drop to 8. In such cases the cost per person may have to increase. Please get in touch as certain weekend packages will still be available where activities do not rely on groups of 10 or more and we will be pleased to advise. There is no maximum group size

5.  Can I change group numbers once I have booked?

Playaway Weekends operates a flexible policy in respect of number changes.  Using the online group management pages you can change numbers as often as you need to, provided that final payment is received 1 month prior to departure for UK destinations or 6 weeks for overseas locations.

6. Can I adjust the packages to suit my requirements?

All Playaway packages are flexible so just let us know what you want and we can advise on any price adjustments and make sure that your choices are compatible.

7. Is insurance available?

Playaway is not authorised to sell insurance products, however we do highly recommend our clients purchase the suitable personal accident and cancellation insurance cover so that your insurance needs are met during your weekend away.

9. When do I need to book by?

The earlier you can pay a deposit to confirm a booking; the greater the likelihood that all your preferences will be available, as certain locations get very busy during peak times of year. We have kept our deposit requirements as low as possible to make it easier to book early and allow changes to group numbers without any penalties until final payment is due.

Transport / Flights and Hotels

10. Do Playaway arrange transport?

We are happy to arrange minibus/coach transfers in each location to reach booked activities. Please ask your Playaway Organiser to provide a cost and this can be included with your booking if required. Often the most cost effective way of reaching activity sites is with your own vehicles. If this is not practical than we recommend you consult with your hotel accommodation to arrange local taxis.

11. What type of level of hotel will we stay in?

It is our aim to provide the best value for money possible for hotel accommodation. We have a number of specially negotiated rates with national and regional hotel groups that make this possible. Unless you are advised to the contrary by your Playaway Organiser, hotel accommodation is on the following basis;

Accommodation of this type is booked subject to availability. Where any of the above are not available this will be brought to the attention of the group leader at the time of booking for his/her approval.

12. Do Playaway arrange flights?

We do not arrange flights as we cannot offer our customers any financial advantage in doing this. We do however include a search tool on each of our overseas destination pages that can supply flight prices from UK regional airports on the ‘low cost’ airlines to the overseas destination featured on that page. You will need to make payment direct to the airline in question to book your flights.
